Malaysia based video-on-demand platform iflix launched in Pakistan. Commonly known as the ‘Netflix of South East Asia’. The subscription will cost only Rs 300 per month for Pakistani users.
Users can try their service Free for a Month without any payment and credit card information.
Each iflix subscription would be available for five devices, but would only support simultaneous streams on two of those at any point in time.
Where internet is not reliable users can download and watch content offline.
An iflix app is available for download on both the iOS App Store and the Google Play Store so that users can watch their favourite television shows and movies on the go.
Challenges
iflix will not face much challenges from Netflix as their subscription charges are not affordable to many. Real challenges they will face are slow internet speeds, piracy and payment methods.
Currently payment can only be made through Debit and Credit cards but other options such as Easypaisa, IBFT will be more convenient for users.
